Sudden Weather Shift in Delhi-NCR: Yellow Alert Issued Amid Heavy Rain and Cold Winds
A yellow alert has been issued in Delhi-NCR as heavy rain and cold winds lead to a significant drop in temperature.

New Delhi, October 30 (Daily Kiran) : Delhi-NCR is experiencing a sudden change in weather, with heavy rain and cold winds sweeping through the region. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for the entire NCR as of October 30. Rainfall began late last night, causing temperatures to drop significantly, leading to a chilly atmosphere for residents.
According to the IMD’s latest forecast, the sky will be predominantly cloudy throughout the day. Light to moderate rainfall is expected in various areas from morning until the afternoon. There is also a possibility of thunderstorms, accompanied by lightning and strong winds.
The weather department has warned of thunder and light to moderate rain during the morning and afternoon hours. Today’s maximum temperature is projected to reach 27 degrees Celsius, while the minimum is expected to drop to 17 degrees Celsius. The combination of rain and strong winds has made the weather quite pleasant.
The rainfall has contributed to a reduction in air pollution levels, resulting in improved air quality across the region. Looking ahead, the IMD predicts that on October 31, the sky will remain partially cloudy, with maximum temperatures of 29 degrees and minimums around 16 degrees Celsius.
As November begins, clear skies are anticipated for the first four days of the month. During this period, maximum temperatures are expected to hover around 30 degrees Celsius, while minimums will range from 16 to 17 degrees Celsius. The weather department continues to advise caution due to the yellow alert, urging residents to avoid standing under trees during strong winds and rain.
