Casio EDIFICE EQB-1300 Series Watches Set to Launch with New Colors and Features

Mumbai, March 29: Casio is gearing up to expand its EDIFICE collection with the upcoming EQB-1300 series, set to be unveiled in April. According to a report from Casioblog, the initial release will feature three variants: the blue EQB-1300D-2A, the green EQB-1300DC-3A, and the newly introduced brown EQB-1300D-5A.

The EQB-1300 series emphasizes dial design, incorporating layered textures and vibrant color finishes for a sporty aesthetic inspired by automotive styling. The dial showcases a geometric layout with parallel line patterns, while satin-finished side elements mimic the appearance of metal panels. The outer chapter ring is slightly elevated, creating a floating effect with visible shadows. Hour markers are designed with clean polygonal edges, enhancing the model’s premium feel.

The bezel is another highlight, featuring a top surface that varies in width across different sections, adding visual depth and deviating from a standard circular design.

While official dimensions have yet to be confirmed, the watch is anticipated to be more compact than previous models like the ECB-2300 and ECB-2200. This shift towards a slimmer profile marks a significant update for the EQB series, which has not seen a major redesign since the EQB-2000 was launched nearly four years ago.

Powered by module 5758, the watch offers Bluetooth connectivity and solar charging capabilities. It supports automatic time synchronization via smartphone, daylight saving adjustments, and easy configuration through an app. A low battery indicator is included, with the second hand moving in two-second increments.

Functionality remains straightforward, featuring a 30-minute stopwatch displayed through a subdial at the 8 o’clock position, which also indicates the day of the week. A date window is positioned opposite, while a separate indicator shows 24-hour time. Notably, there is no timer or alarm feature.

Water resistance is rated at 100 meters. According to Casioblog, the pricing is expected to remain under $300, although the green IP-coated variant may be priced slightly higher.
