Carvajal Downplays Clash With Yamal Ahead of Spanish Super Cup Final

Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has addressed his brief confrontation with Barcelona’s young star Lamine Yamal during the October Clasico, ahead of their upcoming Spanish Super Cup final clash.

The incident occurred after the final whistle, following provocative remarks from Yamal that stirred tensions before kick-off. Carvajal, however, has now downplayed the episode, calling it nothing significant.

Carvajal’s Perspective on the Incident

When asked about the spat, Carvajal laughed and said, “You guys don’t forget anything, do you? Lamine is young, and I think he wasn’t entirely on point in the days leading up to the Clásico. But that’s all.”

He added, “Everyone tries to defend their own interests at club level. Lamine is a great guy. Obviously, I don’t wish him the best for tomorrow. But that’s it, I’m not making a big deal out of it.”

Yamal’s Role in the Upcoming Match

Lamine Yamal is expected to start for Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final against Real Madrid on Sunday. He was previously on the bench during Barcelona’s 5-0 semi-final victory over Athletic Club.

Anticipation Builds for the Super Cup Final

The upcoming match between the two historic rivals promises high intensity, with both teams eager to claim the coveted trophy. The lingering Clasico tensions add an extra layer of intrigue to the showdown.
