Patna, October 15 (Daily Kiran): A bus carrying CISF personnel met with an accident in Bihar’s Saran district on Wednesday morning after it collided with an uncontrolled truck. More than 25 personnel sustained serious injuries in the incident, which occurred near Pandey Chapra village under Rasulpur police station area.
According to information received, the personnel had arrived from Delhi to Siwan and were heading to Doriganj in Saran district for election duty. The bus was carrying around 40 personnel at the time of the crash. The impact was so severe that the front portion of the bus was completely damaged.
Following the accident, local residents and police teams from Rasulpur and Ekma rushed to the spot and began rescue operations. The injured were immediately taken to Ekma Community Health Centre, while those with serious injuries were referred to Chhapra Sadar Hospital for further treatment.
Ekma ADPO Rajkumar confirmed that the truck involved in the collision has been seized. The driver, however, fled the scene and efforts are underway to trace and arrest him.
