Bhagalpur, July 18: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) will conduct its 72nd Combined Preliminary Competitive Examination on July 26. A review meeting was held on Friday to ensure a peaceful, fair, and misconduct-free examination process. The commission’s chairman assessed preparations via video conferencing with district magistrates and senior police superintendents. Detailed guidelines were issued regarding security arrangements, administrative preparations, and transparent operations for the exam.
Approximately 515,000 candidates are expected to participate at 996 examination centers across the state on July 26. Given the scale of the exam, all districts have been instructed to complete necessary administrative and security preparations promptly.
The BPSC chairman emphasized that fairness and transparency in the examination process are the commission’s top priorities. He made it clear that a zero-tolerance policy will be adopted against any form of misconduct. District magistrates and police superintendents have been directed to ensure strong security and discipline at all examination centers through mutual coordination.
It was decided in the meeting that candidates will undergo multi-layered and thorough frisking at all examination centers. Only candidates and authorized examination personnel will be allowed entry into the exam premises, with a complete ban on the entry of any outsiders.
The commission also mandated that biometric verification will be conducted outside the entrance of the examination centers to prevent crowding inside and to ensure a smooth entry process. Special emphasis has been placed on maintaining orderly queues, timely entry, and discipline at each center.
All districts have been instructed that no candidate will be allowed entry into the examination center after the designated time. Strict adherence to entry times will be enforced. Additionally, adequate numbers of magistrates, police officers, and police forces will be deployed at each center, with special monitoring at sensitive examination locations.
The commission clarified that if any candidate, examination personnel, or other individual is found guilty of misconduct, using unfair means, or violating examination confidentiality, an FIR will be filed immediately. Furthermore, actions will be taken to debar them from future BPSC examinations as per the commission’s regulations.
At the end of the meeting, the commission’s chairman instructed all district magistrates and police superintendents to personally monitor each phase of the examination, ensuring that the BPSC preliminary exam on July 26 is conducted in a completely fair, transparent, peaceful, and misconduct-free environment, providing all candidates with an equal and secure examination atmosphere.
