Blaze in Aurangabad Destroys Saw Mill, Causes Millions in Damages

Aurangabad, April 14: A severe fire broke out at a saw mill in the Rafi Ganj area of Aurangabad district on Tuesday, resulting in extensive property damage worth millions. The incident occurred near Block Road in Ward Number 14, causing panic among local residents.

The flames spread rapidly, engulfing the entire premises and instilling fear in the surrounding community.

Upon receiving the alert, the fire department promptly dispatched two fire engines to the scene. Firefighters worked tirelessly for nearly three hours to bring the blaze under control. Unfortunately, by that time, a significant amount of equipment stored in the saw mill had already been completely destroyed.

Aryan Kumar, the mill operator, reported that the fire consumed furniture including beds, sofas, cots, and chairs, along with a large quantity of wood and machinery. Tragically, a calf also succumbed to the flames on-site.

According to the victim, the estimated loss exceeds 400,000 rupees. He has called on the authorities to provide adequate compensation to help recover from the devastating loss.

Assistant Sub-Divisional Fire Officer Munna Kumar confirmed the incident, stating that the fire team was dispatched immediately after the report. He noted that with the help of local residents, the fire was contained, preventing it from spreading to nearby areas.

Currently, the exact cause of the fire remains unknown. The administration is investigating the incident and making efforts to determine the cause of the blaze.
