BJPs Sudhanshu Trivedi Critiques Rahul Gandhi as a Failed Product of Indian Politics
Sudhanshu Trivedi criticizes Rahul Gandhi, labeling him a failed product of Indian politics during a recent press conference.

New Delhi, October 23 (Daily Kiran) : Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi, a national spokesperson for the BJP and Rajya Sabha MP, addressed the media on October 23 in New Delhi, responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent comment branding Rahul Gandhi as a “failed product” of Indian politics. Trivedi didn’t hold back in his criticism of Gandhi, accusing him of associating with dubious individuals during his foreign trips and promoting anti-India propaganda upon his return.
Trivedi remarked, “The Congress party, like a fish out of water, is floundering outside power. Their core mantra involves looting while in power, sowing discord in society, and harboring disdain for Indian culture and religion. Unfortunately, opposition leaders are driving this agenda. This is a regrettable situation, especially for the Congress party, which seems to be wandering away from the country, as sources suggest they are lost in Champa, an ancient name for Vietnam. They have become a riddle for both the nation and their own party. While Prime Minister Modi’s record is filled with achievements, Rahul Gandhi’s legacy is marred by challenges for the Congress party. Today, they have not only jeopardized their future but also put the constitutional framework of the country at risk.”
Trivedi asserted, “I will provide evidence supporting my claim that he (Rahul Gandhi) is indeed a ‘failed product.’ Our generation may recall that he was admitted to Delhi’s St. Stephen’s College as a national-level archer and shooting athlete. However, he failed to achieve any notable success in shooting, marking his first setback. Following family tradition, he went to England for higher education. Between 1996 and 1999, he worked for a British company named ‘Monitor,’ which later shut down. He then became a partner in another British firm, ‘Backops,’ and served as its director from 2003 to 2009, only for that company to close as well. It’s not just the ‘product’ that has failed; the companies associated with him have also faltered.”
He continued, “In 2014, the Congress party appointed Rahul Gandhi as its de facto leader, leading to its lowest-ever representation in the Lok Sabha. In our childhood, we dreamed of the BJP achieving a clear majority, and under Modi’s leadership, that dream has come true. We also wondered if Congress could ever fall below 100 seats. In 2014, it dipped below 50. After that, Rahul Gandhi attempted various experiments within the party. He claimed to democratize the Youth Congress elections, yet all we witnessed were mob rule and indecent displays at AI summits. Another initiative was to select candidates through elections, which also failed spectacularly. The Congress launched him as a youth leader, but it was a complete flop. His attempts to project a Hindu identity in 2019 and mimic Saddam Hussein’s beard in 2024, aligning with anti-India sentiments, did not yield any positive results, as Congress could not secure three-digit seats.”
Trivedi further criticized Gandhi’s foreign engagements, stating that he returns home to spread anti-India sentiments. “Globally, only troublemakers protest, yet in India, the opposition leader protests in the Supreme Court and Parliament. Rahul Gandhi makes absurd statements. Recall the incident in Parliament when he hugged Prime Minister Modi and then gestured with his eyes upon returning to his seat. Does that reflect the maturity, seriousness, and stability expected from a leader?” he questioned.
He also referenced former U.S. President Barack Obama’s memoir, “A Promised Land,” where Obama described his meeting with Rahul Gandhi during his 2010 visit to India. In Chapter 24, Obama noted Gandhi’s “nervousness and immaturity,” likening him to a student eager to impress teachers but lacking mastery and passion for the subject matter.
