BJP Protests Outside Congress Office in Ranchi Over Kharges Alleged Remarks About PM Modis Father

Ranchi, October 26 (Daily Kiran) : A protest organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took place in Ranchi on Monday, responding to alleged offensive comments made by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s father. Led by state president Aditya Sahu and opposition leader Babulal Marandi, BJP workers marched to the Congress office demanding an apology from Kharge.

Tensions briefly escalated when activists from both parties confronted each other. In anticipation of the protest, local authorities had heightened security measures around the Congress office, including barricades and a significant police presence. As BJP workers attempted to breach the barricades to reach the office, clashes ensued between the police and the demonstrators.

Carrying party flags and placards, the protesters called for an end to what they described as derogatory comments against the Prime Minister and urged for political decorum. They chanted slogans against Congress and Kharge, demanding an apology from Modi.

In response, Congress workers at the scene also shouted slogans against the BJP, with some climbing the barricades to express their dissent. The police remained vigilant, prioritizing control of the situation and preventing any untoward incidents.

During the protest, Babulal Marandi accused Congress leaders of consistently making offensive statements against Prime Minister Modi, now extending to remarks about his parents. He emphasized the need for maintaining decorum in political opposition.

The BJP has called for protests outside Congress offices nationwide in response to Kharge’s comments, with the Ranchi demonstration being part of this larger campaign. Despite the heavy police presence, both parties remained firm in their respective positions throughout the event.
