BJP President Nitin Naveen to Visit West Bengal on March 24-25

New Delhi, March 23: Nitin Naveen, the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), will visit West Bengal on March 24 and 25. During his visit, he will participate in organizational meetings in Kolkata. He is also scheduled to meet with leaders of the state’s core group to discuss preparations for the upcoming assembly elections.

Previously, on March 2, Nitin Naveen had visited West Bengal, where he targeted Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee during a public rally in Siliguri. He raised concerns about illegal immigration, stating that West Bengal has become a gateway for Bangladeshis, posing a threat to the region’s demographic balance.

While addressing business leaders in Siliguri, Naveen remarked, “Bengal was once the largest industrial hub, but it is rapidly declining. The state government is to blame for this neglect. In the past, Bengal contributed 10 percent to India’s economy; now, it has dropped to 5 percent. This highlights the government’s mindset.”

He further criticized the Mamata government, claiming that West Bengal has become a stronghold of corruption and violence. “The identity of West Bengal has been erased under Mamata’s rule,” he added.

Additionally, Naveen addressed the issue of illegal immigrants, accusing the state government of forcing local residents to migrate while allowing Bangladeshi infiltrators to settle. “Over 5 million names have been removed from the voter list. It is clear who facilitated their settlement and granted them rights,” he stated.

It is noteworthy that voting in West Bengal will occur in two phases on April 23 and April 29, with the counting of votes scheduled for May 4. This election process differs significantly from the 2021 assembly elections, which were conducted in eight phases from March 27 to April 29.
