New Delhi, February 22: BJP Rajya Sabha MP Manan Kumar Mishra condemned the Youth Congress‘s shirtless protest at the AI Impact Summit. He stated that their actions tarnished the country’s image, despite their intention to express dissent.
Mishra supported Prime Minister Modi’s remarks regarding the incident, emphasizing that the public is outraged. The Prime Minister noted that Congress leaders arrived at the event inappropriately dressed in front of foreign dignitaries. He questioned the necessity of such actions, suggesting that it reflects the Congress party’s ideological bankruptcy.
In a conversation in New Delhi, Mishra expressed that the protest at the AI Summit has left the nation disturbed and saddened. He labeled the incident, allegedly instigated by Rahul Gandhi, as shameful. The summit was a significant global event, showcasing India’s progress and potential as a world leader, with leaders from 20 countries in attendance.
Mishra criticized the Youth Congress for their calculated disruption, stating that while the right to protest is valid, their actions crossed unacceptable boundaries. He asserted that the law and constitution do not permit such behavior at a national event. This was not a BJP meeting; it was a global summit representing the nation.
Additionally, responding to Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav‘s statement about bringing 100 MLAs to become Chief Minister, Mishra remarked that dreaming is free, but the possibility of any party other than NDA forming a government in Uttar Pradesh remains a distant dream.
