New Delhi, October 7 (Daily Kiran) : Dr. Ashok Bajpai, a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), recently commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his 25 years of public service and notable achievements during his tenure. He described Modi’s time in public life as remarkable years of social service, highlighting his nearly 12 years as Chief Minister of Gujarat before taking on the role of Prime Minister.
Bajpai emphasized Modi’s ambition to position India as a developed nation by 2047. He stated that efforts are underway to advance the country across various sectors, both socially and economically. Modi has called for collective progress with the mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas,” aiming to unite all sections of society.
The BJP leader pointed out that Modi’s development initiatives in Gujarat laid the groundwork for national-level policies. He noted that Modi’s contributions extend beyond economic growth; they also encompass fostering national and cultural consciousness. The Prime Minister has worked to honor and elevate the recognition of India’s ancient culture on the global stage.
In response to support from the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) for Akhilesh Yadav’s call to defeat the BJP, Bajpai highlighted the achievements of the Yogi Adityanath-led government in Uttar Pradesh. He remarked that improved law and order in the state has attracted interest from entrepreneurs and industrialists, leading to increased investments.
Bajpai asserted that thousands of young people are finding employment in Uttar Pradesh, which is progressing on the path of development. He suggested that opposition parties feel they cannot compete with the BJP alone, prompting them to unite against it. He reiterated that public support and trust are firmly with the BJP.
Addressing a statement by Rahul Gandhi, who called for action against Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar for treason, Bajpai criticized Gandhi’s comments as inconsistent with democratic norms. He urged opposition leaders to avoid disparaging remarks against the Prime Minister and heads of constitutional institutions.
Bajpai insisted that if the opposition has grievances, they should raise them in Parliament rather than through street protests, which he believes undermines democratic processes. He mentioned that the RSS is a social organization, and such comments about its leaders are unwarranted. He accused Gandhi of lacking sufficient justification for his statements.
Furthermore, Bajpai claimed that the opposition often targets either the Prime Minister or heads of constitutional bodies. He condemned the opposition’s tendency to make disparaging remarks about India’s image abroad and to question constitutional institutions domestically. He urged that the opposition should express their views within the framework of democracy while maintaining respect for institutions.
