BJP Launches Sharp Attack on Mamata Banerjee, RP Singh Predicts Defeat in Bhawanipur

New Delhi, May 1: Amid ongoing political discourse in West Bengal and at the national level, leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have launched fierce attacks on the opposition.

BJP’s national spokesperson, RP Singh, targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee during a conversation. He stated, “Her defeat in the Bhawanipur seat is certain, and recent developments reflect her ‘desperation.’ After the election results, Mamata Banerjee will have to face the public’s questions.”

RP Singh also responded to the Supreme Court granting anticipatory bail to Congress leader Pawan Khera. He emphasized that receiving bail does not equate to proving one’s innocence. According to him, Khera must substantiate the allegations he made against Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s wife in court. He dismissed the claims as ‘false and baseless,’ asserting that the trial will continue, and the final decision will rest with the judiciary.

Further commenting on the issue, the BJP spokesperson supported Himanta Biswa Sarma’s statement, asserting, “Sarma’s wife has no connection to politics, and the allegations against her are unjust. The court will conduct a fair hearing, and the verdict will be based on facts.”

Meanwhile, BJP MP Shashank Mani commented on exit polls, stating, “Initial signs are positive for the party. However, he added that one should not fully trust exit polls before the final results. Current trends suggest that a political shift is possible in West Bengal.”

Shashank Mani also remarked on Mamata Banerjee’s position, saying, “She is becoming aware of her weakening stance. This is why the Chief Minister appears worried and is under political pressure.”
