Lucknow, August 1: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a major public outreach initiative called ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ to be held in Uttar Pradesh from August 10 to 15, coinciding with Independence Day. The party aims to connect with at least 50 families at each booth level, ensuring widespread participation.
In a workshop held at the Vishveshwarya Auditorium in Lucknow, BJP National Minister Anil K. Antony, State President and Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary, and State General Secretary (Organization) Dharmapal Singh outlined the campaign’s framework. Brij Bahadur Bhardwaj has been appointed as the campaign coordinator, with Neeraj Singh, Archana Mishra, Anil Yadav, and Rajni Pandey serving as co-coordinators.
Minister Anil K. Antony emphasized that ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is not just about hoisting the national flag but aims to emotionally connect every citizen with the national emblem. This year, the goal is to reach more households than in previous years, increase youth participation, and establish Independence Day as a broader societal celebration. Regular reviews of the campaign will be conducted at the state, district, and division levels to ensure participation from all community segments.
State President Pankaj Chaudhary stated that the tricolor symbolizes national pride and the sacrifices of freedom fighters. He urged party workers, under the leadership of booth presidents, to engage at least 50 families and effectively use social media to reach out to the youth. During the campaign, there will also be efforts to honor freedom fighters and their families.
Dharmapal Singh announced that planning meetings at the district level will take place on August 4 and 5, with division-level meetings on August 6. From August 10 to 12, the campaign will feature tricolor rallies spanning one to two kilometers in various wards, with significant involvement from the BJP Youth Wing. All party fronts, including the women’s wing, will actively participate.
A cleanliness drive will be conducted at martyr memorials and historical sites related to the freedom struggle from August 12 to 14. Grand tricolor rallies will occur at all district headquarters on August 13, followed by a public outreach campaign to encourage households to hoist the national flag from August 13 to 15. Families of war heroes, martyrs, and police personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice will also be honored.
On August 14, a silent procession and seminars will be organized in all districts to mark ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.’ Dharmapal Singh reiterated that ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is not merely an organizational program but a campaign to instill patriotism among the masses, ensuring participation from all societal segments.
