Lucknow, July 15: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has ramped up its election preparations for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections in 2027. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is actively promoting government initiatives through the inauguration and foundation-laying of development projects across the state, while state president Pankaj Chaudhary and state general secretary (organization) Dharmapal Singh are focused on mobilizing the party at the booth level.
The BJP’s strategy aims to maintain electoral momentum by leveraging the government’s performance and strengthening the organization. For several months, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been touring various districts, inaugurating development projects and addressing public meetings. There is a strong emphasis on communicating government schemes and achievements to the public.
According to departmental reports, between April and June 2026, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation for development projects worth thousands of crores in over two dozen districts. Notable allocations include Agra (₹6,466 crores), Saharanpur (₹2,131 crores), Lalitpur (₹1,766 crores), and several other districts including Gorakhpur, Deoria, Azamgarh, Muzaffarnagar, Kushinagar, Gonda, Unnao, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Aligarh, Firozabad, Sant Kabir Nagar, Hathras, Moradabad, Pilibhit, and Rampur, covering hundreds of projects related to roads, health, education, urban development, tourism, sports, and industrial infrastructure.
The foundation stone for an international cricket stadium in Gorakhpur and the launch of several significant urban development and labor welfare projects in Lucknow also took place during this period. The Chief Minister’s district tours continue. Meanwhile, the BJP organization is also working to enhance its grassroots activity. Following the formation of a new state team, Pankaj Chaudhary and Dharmapal Singh are consistently visiting districts.
Recently, Dharmapal Singh held meetings with power center coordinators and booth presidents in Jhansi, Lalitpur, Kanpur Dehat, Bareilly, Rampur, Amroha, and Moradabad to review election preparations. Pankaj Chaudhary has also conveyed messages to keep party workers active through organizational meetings in Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, and Bahraich. The BJP plans to hold booth conferences across all assembly constituencies on July 22, marking the formal start of organizational preparations for the assembly elections.
The party has appointed state general secretary Dilip Patel as the coordinator for this campaign, with state ministers Shiv Bhushan Singh and Rahul Valmiki serving as co-coordinators. BJP spokesperson Avnish Tyagi stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party is an organization-based party that remains active among the public throughout the year, not just during elections. Party workers continuously engage with the community through various service, good governance, and welfare initiatives.
Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state president, and the state general secretary (organization), the organization is working to keep workers engaged at the booth level, addressing public issues, and ensuring government welfare schemes reach the last person in line.
Senior political analyst Virendra Singh Rawat noted that the BJP has begun preparations for the 2027 assembly elections well in advance. He observed that there is consistent activity at both government and organizational levels. The Chief Minister’s statewide tours, organizational meetings, and the appointment of new officials are all part of this strategy. The recently announced state team also reflects an effort to represent various social classes and sectors.
