BJP Criticizes SP for Releasing Manifesto on Constitution Day
BJP questions SPs decision to launch its manifesto on Constitution Day, emphasizing respect for Dr. Ambedkars legacy.

New Delhi, October 20 (Daily Kiran) : The political landscape in Uttar Pradesh is heating up as the Samajwadi Party (SP) gears up to unveil its manifesto on November 26, coinciding with Constitution Day. The manifesto, titled “Sankalp of 27 – PDA’s Commitment Letter,” has drawn sharp criticism from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
BJP MP Prakash Pal has targeted the SP’s announcement, reminding them that November 26 marks the day when Dr. B.R. Ambedkar presented the Constitution to the nation, which was later adopted on January 26. He urged the SP not to exploit this significant day, suggesting it would be better if they refrained from such actions.
Pal stated, “Akhilesh Yadav has repeatedly disrespected the Constitution’s architect, Dr. Ambedkar. It would be wise for them to avoid using this day for their political agenda. If they proceed, they should acknowledge in their manifesto that they often fail to act on their promises.”
In response, Congress MP Imran Masood from Saharanpur mentioned that the SP is set to release its manifesto, and his party will also be announcing theirs soon. He addressed rumors regarding coalition arrangements and seat-sharing in Uttar Pradesh, stating he is unaware of the sources of such information and emphasized that these matters are internal to the party.
Masood affirmed, “Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is our leader, and discussions have taken place regarding all 403 seats, not just 175. We are committed to forming a coalition that will contest the elections together and provide a strong challenge. We are working towards resolving all issues amicably.”
Tensions are rising as parties prepare for the upcoming elections, each aiming to solidify their position and rally support from voters.
