New Delhi, March 16: Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva stated on Sunday that misinformation spread by political parties like Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has led to a misunderstanding regarding the shortage of cooking gas. This has caused panic among people trying to book LPG cylinders.
Sachdeva criticized AAP for organizing a protest march in the Trilokpuri area of East Delhi over the alleged shortage of cooking gas cylinders. He described the march as evidence of the petty politics of AAP leaders, suggesting that such demonstrations create a favorable environment for black marketers.
He explained that the global supply of cooking gas has been affected due to the conflict in Iran, impacting not only India but also countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and even the United States.
However, he noted that no government worldwide is facing political opposition on this issue from within its own country.
In a statement, Sachdeva recalled that during the demonetization and the pandemic, AAP and Congress leaders spread rumors about shortages of currency and oxygen. He emphasized that the general public has repeatedly rejected these parties by voting for the BJP in the past elections.
Just like during the demonetization and COVID-19 crisis, the common citizen continues to trust Prime Minister Narendra Modi and stands by him. Sachdeva asserted that AAP leaders will not be able to mislead the public.
