BJP Candidates Express Gratitude as Dilip Ghosh Commits to Winning Elections

Mumbai, March 17: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its first list of 144 candidates on Monday, featuring several prominent faces for the upcoming elections. Following the announcement, many candidates shared their reactions.

Former state president Dilip Ghosh has been fielded from Kharagpur. Upon receiving his ticket, he expressed, “I feel honored to be nominated by the party. As a party worker, I respect this decision and am committed to winning the elections.”

Shikha Chatterjee, the candidate from Dabgram-Fulbari, stated, “I have been chosen to work for the party, and I will continue my efforts with discipline in the coming days.” She is also the current MLA from this constituency.

Manoj Kumar Oraon, the BJP candidate from Kumargram (ST), thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the entire BJP family, saying, “I am grateful for being chosen as a candidate not just once, but for the second consecutive time.”

Gauri Shankar, contesting from Murshidabad, remarked, “It is an honor to fight the elections with the responsibility entrusted by the party. I have received the BJP ticket twice before, and now I am contesting for the third time in the assembly elections. I am committed to fulfilling all my duties.”

Jagannath Chatterjee, the candidate from Suri, shared his campaign strategy, stating, “Everyone in this town knows me. I simply ride a bicycle. If you believe this campaign has been successful, I am grateful to all of you.”

It is noteworthy that the elections in Bengal will take place in two phases. The first phase, scheduled for April 23, will cover 152 seats, while the second phase on April 29 will include 142 seats. The election results will be announced on May 4.
