Patna, February 23: The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav launched a scathing attack on the functioning of the Bihar government during the budget session of the state assembly on Monday. He stated that the NDA government has become completely ‘unfit’ to govern.

Yadav highlighted a troubling first in Bihar’s assembly history, where not a single opposition notice was approved during the session. He remarked that while the Speaker holds certain privileges, the deliberate suppression of the opposition’s voice on public issues is alarming for democracy.

He criticized the government for lacking a clear development roadmap. The budget speech was hastily delivered in just 11 minutes, and the finance minister’s response to the appropriation bill was equally brief. Yadav accused the government of halting payments to contractors and employees, with amounts ranging from one crore to 25 lakh rupees pending.

On the issue of law and order, he stated that murders are occurring continuously in Bihar, and the situation has deteriorated into complete ‘disorder.’ He expressed concern over the worsening law and order conditions. Yadav pointed out that the Chief Minister’s actions and public demeanor reflect a concerning decline in his health. He warned that the Bharatiya Janata Party is now controlling the government from behind the scenes, which poses a significant threat to Bihar’s future and interests.
