Patna, July 28: The Bihar government has decided to withdraw cases against students involved in protests related to the NEET paper leak incident. This decision has sparked a political clash, with the opposition claiming that their pressure led to the government’s action. However, NDA leaders have outrightly dismissed these claims.
Bihar government minister Dilip Jaiswal stated, “The government has decided to drop cases against students involved in the protests. The opposition’s role is merely to make accusations.”
Minister Ram Kripal Yadav added, “The world knows that those who truly led the student movement had discussions with our government. A joint press conference was held. The government has tried to accommodate their demands as much as possible. One of those demands was to withdraw cases filed against students during the protests. This decision was not taken under pressure from opposition leaders or any political party that attempted to tarnish the movement through violence.”
In response to Tejashwi Yadav‘s statement, JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said, “Tejashwi Yadav claims that our warning led to the government’s decision to release jailed students. I want to ask if the same warning had an effect in Assam?”
He continued, “This is the NDA government’s generosity, but the guilty will not escape. Those responsible and against whom evidence has been found will face the law. This decision has been made considering minors or the situation as of 5 PM on the 26th. Arrests continued even after that.”
Neeraj Kumar urged, “Advocate for bail for those responsible, and make those you incited share in your property.”
