Patna, June 13: A significant revelation has emerged regarding alleged irregularities in competitive examinations in Bihar. At a press conference, Additional Director General of Police for the Economic Offenses Unit, Manjeet Singh Dhillon, announced that several arrests have been made in connection with recent discrepancies in the Bihar Public Service Commission exams, and multiple FIRs have been registered as investigations proceed.
Dhillon stated that a thorough investigation is underway to uncover the roles of all individuals involved in this extensive network. The Economic Offenses Unit has been tasked with this investigation, as it has previously handled numerous cases of paper leaks and fraud in competitive exams over the past few years.
He noted that irregularities were reported in two major examinations conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission in March: the Assistant Education Development Officer and Assistant Administrative and other positions. Following these allegations, the exams were canceled, and a special investigation team was formed.
Dhillon revealed that the investigation has shown that this case extends beyond traditional paper leaks. Unlike past incidents involving printing presses or transport personnel, this time, employees linked to the biometric verification system have come under suspicion.
He mentioned that the private company contracted for biometric verification, reportedly Saye Eduk Private Limited, based in Jaipur, could be a key player in this conspiracy. Allegations suggest that some employees of this agency colluded to breach the examination system and commit fraud. An organized gang may be involved, misusing technical systems to undermine the transparency of the exams. Currently, questioning of several suspects is ongoing, and digital evidence is also being examined.
The Additional Director General of the Economic Offenses Unit indicated that more arrests are likely in the coming days, and the entire network will be exposed.
