Bhajji Celebrates Kejriwal and Sisodias Acquittal with Satyamev Jayate

New Delhi, February 28: The Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has acquitted former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in the Delhi liquor policy case. Former cricketer and Rajya Sabha MP Harbhajan Singh responded to this verdict on social media.

Harbhajan Singh shared a photo of Kejriwal and Sisodia standing with their hands joined. In his post, he wrote, “Satyamev Jayate,” conveying that both leaders are innocent and that truth has triumphed.

Kuldeep Dhaliwal, a spokesperson and MLA from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab, stated that the court’s decision proves that the entire case was a deep-rooted political conspiracy orchestrated by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to dismantle the party.

Dhaliwal remarked that the three parties had been continuously engaged in a smear campaign to tarnish the image of their leaders and destroy the party. He likened their lies to a house of cards that has now collapsed. He accused the BJP of misusing central agencies to imprison their senior leadership, but emphasized that while truth can be delayed, it cannot be defeated.

Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has challenged the Rouse Avenue Court’s order in the Delhi High Court. A total of 23 defendants, including AAP’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, were acquitted in this case.

The central agency has filed a criminal revision petition contesting the trial court’s detailed order. The court had previously refused to frame charges in the corruption case, stating that the prosecution had not even established a prima facie case necessary for the trial.
