
New Delhi, April 18: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced on Saturday that the government-owned company Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited (BECIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) to promote advanced technologies and Digital India initiatives.
Under this partnership, both organizations will collaborate on advanced technologies, digital transformation, and skill development. This includes joint projects, consultancy, and technical cooperation, focusing on solutions in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), the Internet of Things (IoT), cybersecurity, 5G, and cloud computing.
Moreover, this partnership aims to develop turnkey solutions across various sectors, facilitate the transfer of new technologies, and promote the commercialization of innovative products.
The agreement emphasizes skill development and upskilling the workforce to strengthen technical capabilities.
On this occasion, BECIL’s Chairman and Managing Director, D.K. Murali, stated that this partnership will enhance the company’s capacity for advanced technologies and digital transformation. He highlighted that leveraging the strengths of both organizations will significantly contribute to the country’s digital development.
This collaboration will foster innovation, accelerate the adoption of new technologies, and help create a robust and future-ready digital ecosystem in India, aligning with the government’s vision of ‘Digital India.’
The MoU was signed by BECIL’s Director (O&M) Saurav Chauhan and CDAC’s Registrar Niranjan Vaishnav, in the presence of several senior officials.
BECIL is a Mini Ratna Category-1 public sector company under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, providing consultancy and turnkey services in broadcasting, IT, and telecommunications. CDAC, under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, is a research and development organization working in areas such as advanced computing, high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
