
Mumbai, March 4: The Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Devjeet Saikia, and Head Coach Gautam Gambhir have extended their warm wishes for Holi, expressing hope that the festival of colors brings joy and happiness to everyone’s lives.
Gautam Gambhir, the head coach of the Indian cricket team, shared his wishes, stating, “Wishing everyone a very happy and colorful Holi.”
BCCI Secretary Devjeet Saikia took to the social media platform X to write, “May the colors of Holi fill your life with happiness, joy, and prosperity. Wishing you a fun-filled celebration.”
Cricket Australia also joined in the celebrations on X, wishing all those celebrating Holi a very happy festival.
Earlier on Tuesday, former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, along with cricket legends like Virat Kohli and several current and former members of the cricket community, sent their greetings to fans for the occasion.
Tendulkar posted on X, “Happy Holi! I hope this day brings you positivity, good health, and countless joyful moments. If you get completely drenched, consider it a winning performance.”
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli shared his wishes in an Instagram story, stating, “Happy Holi! May this festival of colors bring success, happiness, and positivity into your life.”
Currently, the Indian men’s cricket team is busy preparing for the T20 World Cup 2026, with a semifinal match against England scheduled for March 5 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
