Mumbai, February 10: Actor Barun Sobti is set to premiere the second season of his web series “Kohra” on Netflix starting February 11. In a recent interview, he shared insights on the industry’s evolution, emphasizing his unwavering belief in the power of a good script. Despite the rise of social media and digital platforms, he remains focused on the quality of his work.
Barun stated, “The world has changed, and we live in a social media era, but my perspective remains the same. I have always trusted scripts, and I still do. In the past, good scripts were hard to come by, but now they are more accessible to me. Therefore, what happens on social media does not affect me much.”
On staying relevant, Barun highlighted the importance of self-awareness. He remarked, “To remain relevant, you must continually utilize your abilities throughout your life. One should not compare themselves to others. It’s crucial to understand where you fit best and where your talent can be most effectively utilized. Without this understanding, any work loses its meaning.”
Currently, Barun is focused on the second season of “Kohra.” In this new chapter, streaming on Netflix from February 11, he reprises his role as the sharp investigator Amarpal Garundi. This time, he collaborates with a new officer, played by Mona Singh, to unravel a dark murder mystery involving women. The series also features Ranvijay Singh.
“Kohra” is a crime thriller police procedural set in the cold regions of Punjab, where silence often speaks louder than words. The series is created and written by Sudip Sharma, Gunjeet Chopra, and Diggy Sisodia.
The first season featured prominent actors such as Survinder Vicky, Harleen Sethi, Saurav Khurana, Rachel Shahi, and Manish Chaudhary in lead roles. Season 2 introduces a new case, a fresh pairing, and creative changes.
