Baloch Liberation Army Claims Responsibility for 16 Attacks on Pakistani Forces in Balochistan

Quetta, October 13 (Daily Kiran) : The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has taken responsibility for a series of 16 attacks targeting Pakistani security forces across various regions of Balochistan over the past six days. In a statement released on Monday, BLA spokesman Jiand Baloch claimed that these operations resulted in numerous fatalities and injuries among the troops.

The group asserted that from October 7 to 12, they successfully executed several missions, which included targeting military convoys, carrying out IED and sniper attacks, blocking highways, and punishing informers working for the Pakistani army.

On October 10, the BLA reported an assault on a military convoy in the Panch area of the Panjgur district, claiming that four soldiers were killed and several others wounded. They also stated that two army vehicles were directly targeted during this operation.

Additionally, the BLA’s aerial and drone warfare unit, QAHAR, allegedly ambushed a vehicle transporting soldiers in Kila Abdullah on the same day, resulting in three deaths and over seven injuries. This vehicle was reportedly heading to a camp that the group referred to as a “Death Squad” base after a drone strike.

In another incident on October 10, BLA fighters attacked members of the Pakistani army and government-backed armed groups in the Gishkour area of the Awaran district, claiming two members were killed and two others injured. The group mentioned that Pakistani soldiers were also affected, though they did not provide specific numbers.

On October 11, BLA fighters targeted soldiers clearing roads in the Chotank area of Manguchar, as well as commercial vehicles and military convoys, claiming two soldiers were killed and several others injured. The same day, they attacked Pakistani forces providing security to convoys in the Gwarkop area of Awaran.

Moreover, on October 12, a soldier stationed in the Kalghali area of Basima was reportedly killed in a sniper attack. The BLA also claimed responsibility for an attack on a Pakistani army post at the Hamza House checkpoint in the Pir Umar area of Khuzdar on October 8, which resulted in one soldier’s death and two injuries. Following this, they claimed to have destroyed the checkpoint after the army retreated.

The group also asserted that they were responsible for an attack on two Pakistan Coast Guard boats in the coastal region of Jiwani, resulting in the deaths of 13 soldiers. Spokesman Jiand Baloch stated that the group’s maritime wing, the Hammal Maritime Defense Force (HMDF), executed a coordinated attack on October 11, showcasing their increasing dominance in both land and sea operations.

The BLA characterized the Jiwani attack as evidence of their expanding capabilities, declaring, “This attack shows that the BLA has now created a multi-dimensional combat structure, leaving no secure space for the occupying state on both land and sea.” They described the Baloch coast as a vital economic and trade lifeline for Pakistan and its allies, accusing them of exploiting coastal resources at the expense of local fishermen’s livelihoods.

The group warned that maritime traffic, supply lines, and military assets would continue to be targeted, vowing that “our naval fight will persist with full force.”
