
Riasi, Jammu and Kashmir: The recently presented Union Budget has received a positive response from the local residents of Riasi district. People believe the budget has been thoughtfully designed with the common man in mind, prioritising the interests of the middle class, farmers, youth, and traders.
Several locals welcomed the budget, expressing hope that it will generate new employment opportunities and provide some relief from rising inflation.
In conversations with residents of Riasi, the budget was described as balanced and aligned with future needs. Amit Sharma commented that the budget will particularly benefit the youth.
He added that numerous new schemes aimed at creating jobs for young people have been introduced, with special emphasis on promoting the MSME sector. The government plans to develop champion MSMEs by offering special incentives to well-performing enterprises. Additionally, announcements were made to establish girls’ hostels in every district.
Sharma also noted a dedicated budget allocation to expand access to artificial intelligence for the youth. The budget further highlights significant focus on health and education sectors. According to him, the government has presented a forward-looking and well-structured budget this year.

Praising Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, they described the budget as balanced and inclusive, addressing the needs of youth, women, farmers, and all sections of society. The decision to provide girls’ hostels in every district was seen as a crucial step. Moreover, improved plans for strengthening the tourism sector are expected to enhance local employment opportunities.
Social activist Rajkumar, associated with environmental protection, stated that this central budget holds special significance for Jammu and Kashmir. He highlighted the emphasis on environmental and nature conservation. The plan to develop eco-friendly mountain trails in the region is considered very important, as it will not only protect the environment but also provide training for youth to work as tourist guides, creating jobs.
Rajkumar further mentioned that promoting almond and walnut cultivation will strengthen the economic condition of farmers. The decision to develop Leh Palace as a cultural heritage tourism site is expected to accelerate regional development.
