Ayodhya to Showcase Ramayana with Stunning Cinematic Display at Diwali Festival
Ayodhyas Diwali festival will feature a 300-foot cinematic facade showcasing the Ramayana, blending tradition with modern technology.

Ayodhya, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : Ayodhya is gearing up for its tenth grand Diwali festival, promising a unique blend of technology and artistry. This year, a spectacular 300-foot-long and 50-foot-high cinematic facade will bring the Ramayana to life along the banks of the Saryu River. This special presentation, lasting approximately 22 minutes, will utilize LED walls, projection mapping, lasers, dynamic lighting, and immersive sound effects to vividly depict key moments from the epic.
Around 150 artists from across the country will perform various characters from the Ramayana, enhancing the festival’s cultural richness. Preparations for this year’s event are in the final stages, with a focus on integrating traditional religious and cultural performances with cutting-edge technology.
The massive cinematic facade is set to be the main attraction, aiming to present the entire Ramayana in a grand visual format. Representatives from Modern Stage Service, a company from Delhi, have confirmed that the show will feature high-resolution visuals on the LED wall, complemented by projection mapping.
The combination of lasers, dynamic lighting, and immersive sound effects will create a powerful portrayal of the Ramayana’s significant episodes. Live performances will be coordinated with LED screens and projectors, bringing the epic to life on the Saryu banks. The lighting and laser effects are expected to elevate the overall experience.
The Yogi government aims to transform the Diwali festival into a world-class cultural celebration rather than just a religious event. Previous years have seen record-breaking attendance and grand displays, giving Ayodhya a new international identity. This year, the cinematic facade will add a new dimension to this tradition, merging faith with modern technology. The goal is to effectively convey the cultural heritage of the Ramayana to future generations.
Following the consecration of the Ram Temple, the influx of devotees and tourists in Ayodhya may further boost religious tourism. On Monday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Ayodhya to review preparations for Diwali 2026. He inspected various festival-related sites and offered prayers at the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Garhi temple, seeking peace and prosperity for the state.
The Chief Minister also visited the Ram Temple, where he paid homage to Ram Lalla, performed rituals, and reviewed ongoing construction work. Officials from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust briefed him on the festival preparations and upcoming plans. He later convened a meeting with officials at the PFC auditorium within the temple complex to assess the preparations, ensuring that the tenth Diwali festival is grand, divine, and well-organized.
