Playing at the Axiata Arena, Ashmita showcased complete control against the world number 55. She dominated the first game, winning comfortably. Although Jin Wei attempted a comeback in the second game, Ashmita did not allow her rival to gain any momentum. The match concluded in just 27 minutes.

With this victory, Ashmita has reached the quarterfinals of a Super 500 event for the third time in her career. She will now face Denmark’s eighth-seeded Line Hojmark Kjaersfeldt.
