Jabalpur, March 29: Two shocking incidents have emerged from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. In one case, police have arrested a man accused of raping a young woman while concealing his identity. In another, the operator of a security firm faces severe allegations of employee exploitation and financial misconduct.
In the first case, the accused, Abdul Faraz Khan, befriended the victim under the alias ‘Rahul’ and exploited her for nearly a year under the pretense of marriage. According to the victim, he took her to Jabalpur and other cities, where he also assaulted her.
Moreover, he threatened to make intimate videos public, subjecting her to continuous blackmail. The situation escalated when the victim discovered that Khan was already married with two children. When she attempted to distance herself, he threatened her life.
Feeling mentally distressed, the victim contemplated suicide but ultimately decided to file a complaint with the police upon her lawyer’s advice. Authorities have arrested the accused and initiated an investigation under various sections of the Indian Penal Code at the Omati police station.
In the second case, Ritesh Tandon, the operator of ‘Baba Barfani Security,’ is facing increasing troubles. A case has been registered against him at the Madan Mahal police station, while the municipal corporation has already blacklisted his firm. Tandon is accused of employee exploitation, verbal abuse, failing to deposit provident fund contributions, and violating labor laws. Additionally, allegations have surfaced regarding fraudulent attendance records for workers, leading to a significant embezzlement of municipal funds.
The municipal commissioner has ordered a thorough investigation into the matter, while police have stated that employees may seek recourse through labor courts regarding wage disputes.
