Armed Robbery at Jewelry Store in Patna Sparks Outrage Among Shopkeepers

Patna, April 19: In a shocking incident, unidentified criminals targeted a jewelry store in the Ramkrishnanagar area of Patna, Bihar, on Sunday. The robbery occurred in broad daylight, with the assailants using weapons to intimidate the shop staff and customers. In response, the police have formed a special investigation team to apprehend the culprits and investigate the incident.

Reports indicate that five individuals arrived on two motorcycles and executed the robbery while wearing helmets to conceal their identities. During the incident, three of the robbers entered the store, while two remained outside to monitor the situation.

At the time of the robbery, two to three customers were present in the store. Upon receiving the alert, a police team led by the Superintendent of Police for East Patna, Parichay Kumar, promptly arrived at the scene to assess the situation.

According to the shop owner, the robbers made off with approximately 100 grams of gold jewelry valued between 15 to 20 lakh rupees, as well as 3 to 4 kilograms of silver. The police have set up checkpoints throughout the area to aid in their search for the suspects.

Superintendent Kumar stated that the police are actively investigating the case. They are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby locations and have initiated technical research to track down the criminals. He expressed confidence that the suspects would be apprehended soon, although no arrests have been made as of now. Following this brazen daytime robbery, shopkeepers in the area are expressing their anger and concern for their safety.
