Mumbai, September 12 (Daily Kiran) : Bigg Boss 13 is widely regarded as one of the most successful and memorable seasons in Indian television history, thanks to its dynamic contestants, compelling relationships, and intense drama. Contestant Arhaan Khan believes that the authenticity of each participant contributed significantly to the season’s success.
In a recent interview, Khan emphasized the uniqueness of the season, stating, “What made that season special was the number of people involved. You might focus on just one person, but there were many notable contestants like Asim, Siddharth, Vishal, Paras, Shefali, Madhurima, Himanshi, Khesari Lal, and Hindustani Bhau. The sheer number of personalities made it unforgettable.”
He further noted, “Everyone was genuine. Each contestant played as themselves. If you look at any contestant, no one was imitating another. After watching Season 13, people weren’t saying that someone copied another contestant or that the season was a replica of previous ones. They were simply being themselves and playing with reality, which is why it was so successful.”
When asked whether participating in a reality show complicates an actor’s public image, Khan responded, “I believe the era of being image-conscious is over. In the past, you had to be careful about your image. Today, it’s different. The more you appear, the more you sell. There isn’t a single person in the industry without some controversy linked to them. If you look at our Bigg Boss season, every contestant had some controversy. It was the biggest hit and remains memorable to this day.”
Khan also discussed the opportunities social media has created for actors. “Social media has not only opened doors for actors but also for newcomers,” he said. “However, it can be very stressful. It can trouble many people, but success doesn’t come easy. It carries a lot of baggage. Regardless of your industry or showbiz, these challenges come with success.”
