Mumbai, August 15: Securing a government job is a dream for millions of youth in India. If you are among them, a golden opportunity is knocking at your door. The Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Law and Justice, has issued an official notification inviting applications for 42 vacant positions across its various benches. These include Senior Private Secretary and Private Secretary roles, both classified as Group ‘B’ gazetted posts.
The 42 vacancies comprise 22 for Senior Private Secretaries and 20 for Private Secretaries. Among the Senior Private Secretary positions, there is 1 for SC, 5 for ST, 4 for OBC, 5 for EWS, and 7 for General categories. For the Private Secretary roles, there are 5 for SC, 2 for ST, 3 for EWS, and 10 for General categories. Candidates should note that the number of vacancies may increase.
The online application process began on July 18 and will close on August 16. Interested candidates who have not yet applied are advised to complete their registration on the ITAT official website before the deadline.
Applicants must possess a graduation degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution or university. Additionally, candidates should have a typing speed of 120 words per minute in English shorthand and working knowledge of computers, including proficiency in software like Microsoft Office, Excel, or PageMaker.
The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 35 years, calculated based on the application deadline. However, candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per government rules. Selection will be based on a written examination, skill test, and personal interview. The monthly salary for selected candidates will range from ₹47,600 to ₹1,51,100 for Senior Private Secretaries and ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400 for Private Secretaries. Additional benefits and allowances will also be provided.
The written examination and skill tests will be conducted at nine centers, including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Guwahati, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, and Hyderabad. Details regarding the date and time of the written examination will be announced soon on the ITAT official website.
