Anant Singh Backs Anuj Singh for MLC Elections, Urges Party to Remain Calm

JDU MLA Anant Singh supports Anuj Singhs candidacy for MLC elections, advising his party to stay composed amid political tensions.

Patna, October 15 (Daily Kiran) : In Patna, JDU MLA Anant Singh has publicly declared his support for Anuj Singh, the candidate from the Jan Suraj Party, ahead of the upcoming MLC elections. He emphasized that his backing is not intended as a challenge to anyone but rather a show of solidarity with Singh.

Anant Singh also took the opportunity to advise his party, suggesting that there is no need for undue anxiety regarding these elections, as they differ from the more significant assembly elections. He expressed that the party should remain composed, noting that public perception is important.

Addressing comments made by JDU’s chief spokesperson Neeraj Kumar, Anant Singh remarked that Kumar has consistently opposed him and will likely continue to do so. He acknowledged the support he has received from Anuj Singh and reaffirmed his commitment to backing him.

When questioned about his own candidacy for the assembly elections, Anant Singh clarified that he had not solicited a ticket. Instead, it was Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who encouraged him to contest, prompting his entry into the electoral fray.

Responding to Neeraj Kumar’s remarks, which referenced him as “Pudina Singh,” Anant Singh made a pointed remark, stating that Kumar’s credibility would be challenged on November 23. He suggested that the longstanding issues surrounding Kumar would soon come to light.

Supporters of Anant Singh, including Kanhaiya Singh, also weighed in on the situation. Kanhaiya questioned Neeraj Kumar’s past and the source of his electoral tickets, suggesting that Kumar should publicly clarify his history with the party.

Another supporter, Bablu Pandey, characterized the upcoming MLC elections as a personal rivalry rather than a contest against the NDA. He accused Neeraj Kumar of consistently opposing both Lalit Singh and Anant Singh, framing the current dispute as a direct conflict between the two leaders.

The political landscape in Bihar is heating up as these elections approach, with tensions rising among party members and their supporters.
