Haridwar, March 7: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has made a significant statement regarding illegal immigrants. He asserted that every illegal immigrant will be identified and removed from India, from Kedarnath to Kanyakumari.
Speaking at an event in Haridwar to mark the completion of four years of the Uttarakhand government, Shah stated, “The Pushkar Singh Dhami government has removed over 10,000 encroachments. This is not just about encroachments. I want to tell the people of the state that wherever there are illegal immigrants across the country, from Kedarnath to Kanyakumari, we will work to remove each one of them from India.”
During his address, Shah also targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He remarked, “Anyone who is not a citizen of India should be removed from the voter list. The BJP fully supports the Election Commission’s process because if the voter list, which is crucial for maintaining democracy, is not clean, the democracy of that country cannot survive. Rahul Gandhi can oppose as much as he wants. He even opposes the SIR. He sees negativity in everything.”
On the occasion of the Dhami government’s four-year anniversary, he noted, “Today marks four years of the Pushkar Singh Dhami government, but it also marks nine years of the BJP government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Uttarakhand and initiated the celebration of the state’s 25 years. I want to inform the people of Uttarakhand through this program that there was a time when the land of Uttarakhand was struggling for its rights. The youth here fought to preserve Uttarakhand’s culture. At that time, the Congress and the Samajwadi Party subjected our youth to severe oppression.”
Amit Shah recalled, “Many youths were injured. They sacrificed their lives. The Rampur Tiraaha incident is still fresh in the memory of Uttarakhand residents. At that time, senior BJP leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee created Uttarakhand. Congress’s so-called intellectuals questioned how small states would survive and sustain their economies. Atal Ji created three small states, including Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand. All three have progressed on the path of development. Today, as we celebrate nine years of our government…”
While addressing the event, the Union Home Minister stated, “When Trivendra Singh Rawat was appointed as Chief Minister, I participated in the first program. I said that ‘Atal Ji created it, and PM Narendra Modi will nurture it. These nine years have been for Uttarakhand’s development. In the last four years, Pushkar Singh Dhami has resolved each issue systematically. As a result, Uttarakhand is advancing rapidly on the path of development.”
He also mentioned that today marks the inauguration and foundation-laying of development projects worth ₹1,132 crores. An exhibition of new legal codes is also being inaugurated. He urged the state’s legal professionals to visit the exhibition. Under PM Modi’s leadership, outdated laws established by the British over 150 years ago will be abolished, and new legal codes will be created for citizens’ protection.
Amit Shah stated that the new laws will be fully implemented by 2028. After that, any citizen can file an FIR at a police station, and the entire justice system will be resolved within three years in the Supreme Court. Justice will now be timely. These are the most modern legal codes in the world.
Meanwhile, the Union Home Minister predicted that the NDA government will be formed in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu in 2026. He emphasized that the people of Uttarakhand must ensure a BJP government with a full majority in 2027.
