Ahmedabad, May 17: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the ‘Million Minds Tech Park’ and the ‘Ganesh Real Estate Management Institute’ in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
During his speech, Shah emphasized that Gujarat will continue to play a leading role in technology, just as it has since independence. He stated that these projects will accelerate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of transforming Gujarat from a manufacturing hub into a global leader in services and technology.
Shah expressed his ambition to place Gujarat among the top three states in the services sector, highlighting the state’s consistent focus on economic activities. The Million Minds Tech Park is expected to create thousands of high-skilled job opportunities for the youth of the state.
This tech park will promote research, innovation, and technological development in advanced fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and semiconductors. Shah noted that the Ganesh Real Estate Management Institute will play a crucial role in bringing professionalism and modernization to the real estate sector.
The institute aims to prepare skilled human resources through modern urban planning, technology-centric courses, and training aligned with global standards. Shah remarked that Gujarat is providing a new direction to the country in technology, industry, and modern infrastructure development. Such specialized institutions and tech-based projects will strengthen the state’s position in the global economy.
He further mentioned that the tech city, developed over approximately 65 acres near the Vaishnodevi Circle in the Ahmedabad-GIFT City-Gandhinagar high development corridor, will include Grade-A office spaces, residential facilities, retail, and hospitality infrastructure. This project is expected to generate over 70,000 high-skilled jobs.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel stated that the state has made significant progress in manufacturing, ports, infrastructure, green energy, pharmaceuticals, and investments. He added, “The state is now entering a new phase of development driven by an IT, innovation, and technology-based economy.”
Patel also highlighted that the Million Minds Tech Park will play a vital role in Gujarat’s technology-driven development, describing it as more than just a real estate project, but as a center that will create high-skilled jobs and accelerate the digital economy.
