Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh met Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan in New Delhi as he prepares for retirement at the end of October.

New Delhi, October 29 (Daily Kiran) : Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh of the Indian Air Force met with Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan on Thursday at the Vice President’s residence in New Delhi. This meeting carries significant weight as Singh is set to retire at the end of this month, marking the conclusion of his responsibilities within the Air Force.

Under Singh’s leadership, the Air Force has consistently focused on operational readiness, modern military capabilities, and adapting to evolving security challenges. He will officially retire on October 31, with Air Marshal Ashutosh Dikshit appointed as his successor, taking over on the same day.

Before his retirement, Singh took his final flight in the IAF’s Kiran training aircraft on October 20, accompanied by his first flight instructor, retired Wing Commander V.S. Kochhar. Prior to that, he completed his last combat flight in the indigenous Tejas fighter jet.

Recently, Singh also flew with NCC cadets, providing them an opportunity to learn about aviation closely. This flight took place at the Air Force Academy in Dundigal, Hyderabad, on October 20, where senior wing cadet Tejaswi was present alongside him in the Kiran aircraft.

During the flight, Singh shared insights into the aircraft’s operations, various flying techniques, and methods for controlling the aircraft in the sky. At the recent 94th Air Force Day celebration, he expressed pride in his service, emphasizing the honor of passing command to his successor this month.

He highlighted the importance of resilience among air warriors, urging them to remain strong in the face of challenges and not become weak links in the Air Force’s chain. Singh also stressed the need for a respectful environment within the Air Force, free from bias or discrimination, and called on air warriors to prioritize the organization’s interests over personal gains.
