AI Impact Summit 2026 to Showcase India’s Progress, Says PM Modi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the 130th episode of his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme on Sunday, highlighted India’s advancements in artificial intelligence and other cutting-edge technologies. He announced that the upcoming ‘AI Impact Summit 2026’, scheduled for next month, will present India’s achievements in the AI sector on a global platform.

Speaking about the summit, PM Modi said, “Next month, the AI Impact Summit 2026 will take place. Experts from around the world, especially from the technology field, will come to India. This summit will bring to the forefront India’s progress and accomplishments in the world of AI. I warmly welcome all participants.” He also mentioned that the next episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ will focus on the AI Impact Summit.

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared an audio clip on social media featuring the Prime Minister’s remarks on the summit.

PM Modi praised the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation in India. He said Indian startups have established a strong presence across key technological areas such as AI, space exploration, nuclear energy, semiconductors, green hydrogen, and biotechnology. According to him, this success is a reflection of the vision, courage, and hard work of the country’s youth.

The Prime Minister also recalled a social media trend where people shared memories from 2016. He reflected on January 2016 when the foundation of Startup India was laid. Modi noted that though the initiative seemed small at the time, its goal was to build a strong foundation for the country’s future and its younger generation.

He stated that today, India has become the third-largest startup ecosystem in the world. Indian startups are now working in areas that were unimaginable a decade ago. PM Modi expressed confidence that in the coming years India will reach new heights in innovation and technology and will take on a leadership role globally.
