Abu Dhabi, October 15 (Daily Kiran): Afghanistan registered a dominant 200-run victory over Bangladesh in the third and final ODI at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Tuesday night, completing a 3–0 clean sweep of the series. This marks Afghanistan’s fifth consecutive ODI series win, showcasing their growing consistency in the 50-over format.

After losing the T20I series 0–3 earlier, the Afghan side bounced back in style, completely outplaying Bangladesh in the ODIs.

Batting first, Afghanistan posted a strong total of 293/9 in 50 overs, powered by a superb 95-run knock from Ibrahim Zadran and an explosive 62 off 37 balls by veteran all-rounder Mohammad Nabi. The opening pair of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Zadran gave Afghanistan a flying start, adding 99 runs in the first 15 overs. Gurbaz made 40 before getting out, while Zadran fell short of a century, getting run out at 95. Nabi’s late fireworks — including 45 runs in just 14 balls — helped Afghanistan reach a formidable total.

In reply, Bangladesh collapsed to 93 all out in just 27.1 overs, suffering one of their heaviest defeats in recent years. Bilal Sami led the Afghan bowling attack with a devastating spell of 5 for 33, while Rashid Khan chipped in with 3 for 12.

For Bangladesh, only Saif Hassan showed resistance with a gritty 43, as the rest of the batting lineup crumbled without crossing double digits. From 70/3, Bangladesh lost their last seven wickets for just 23 runs.

Brief Scores:
Afghanistan: 293/9 (Ibrahim Zadran 95, Mohammad Nabi 62*; Saif Hassan 3/6, Tanvir Islam 2/46)
Bangladesh: 93 (Saif Hassan 43; Bilal Sami 5/33, Rashid Khan 3/12)
Result: Afghanistan won by 200 runs and swept the ODI series 3–0.
