Pimpri-Chinchwad, September 6 (Daily Kiran) : Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and former Maharashtra minister Aditya Thackeray has thrown his support behind the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) students’ protest, sharply criticizing the government over the recent paper leak scandal.
Thackeray also targeted the state government for its neglect of infrastructure in Hinjewadi, highlighting the poor condition of roads, waste management issues, and water shortages in the area. He emphasized the need for the government to take the concerns of youth and students seriously.
In a conversation with a news agency, Thackeray discussed Rahul Gandhi’s initiatives and issues affecting young people. He stated, “I believe Rahul Gandhi is keeping an eye on the situation everywhere. He is organizing programs to amplify the voices of students and youth across the country.” He stressed the importance of bringing attention to the challenges faced by students and empowering their voices.
Regarding the paper leak issue, Thackeray condemned the government, calling it a serious matter that affects the transparency of examinations and students’ futures. “Leaks are happening. Tomorrow, there will be a major protest against MPSC, and we have extended our support to all students,” he noted.
Thackeray pointed out the dire state of Hinjewadi’s roads and the ongoing waste and water issues. He remarked, “We consider this area a major hub for the IT sector. If IT companies start leaving, what will the government do? What kind of jobs can it create?”
He concluded by stating that the demands being made are fundamental. The fact that people are still taking to the streets for basic needs in 2026 reflects poorly on the government’s position.
