Adani Groups Vision for a Sustainable Future: Gautam Adani Speaks at CII Summit

New Delhi, May 11: Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, stated on Monday that the company is building a robust infrastructure that will support India’s digital and clean future, ranging from green energy to data centers.

While addressing the ‘CII Annual Business Summit 2026’, he mentioned that the Adani Group has already operationalized 35% of the world’s largest single-site renewable energy plant in Khavda, Gujarat. This 30 gigawatt project is set to transform India’s energy landscape.

Adani emphasized, “Our total commitment to energy transition is $100 billion, positioning us among the world’s largest clean energy investors.”

He further noted that data centers are the next significant foundation for the future, with the Adani Group developing large-scale integrated data center campuses across the country.

The billionaire entrepreneur revealed that the Adani Group is collaborating with Google to establish India’s largest gigawatt-level data center campus in Visakhapatnam. This represents a multi-billion dollar investment aimed at enhancing digital capabilities on Indian soil.

He also highlighted Microsoft’s strong partnership in the Adani Group’s data center mission. Additionally, companies like Flipkart and Uber are working with Adani Group for their data needs.

Recently, at an AI summit, the group announced a $100 billion investment in the data center sector.

“This is not just an investment; it reflects our intent. India should not rely on the infrastructure of other countries for its digital future. We must create, operate, and own it on our own land,” Adani stated.

He further explained that the era of AI will not solely depend on servers, chips, and algorithms, but will also require electricians, technicians, operators, security personnel, engineers, and millions of young Indians to drive it forward.

Through the Adani Foundation, a long-term commitment of ₹60,000 crores has been made for education, health, skill development, and community development, with a special focus on AI-based skilling.

Gautam Adani remarked that he has dedicated his life to building in places where nothing existed before.

“Where there was only marshland, we built ports; where there was darkness, we brought electricity; and where people saw the impossible, we erected infrastructure. I have learned one thing — the future does not come by itself; it must be created. So, let us come together to build the future,” he concluded.
