Ujjain, April 22: Actress Janki Bodhiwala, who made her debut in Hindi cinema with Ajay Devgn’s film “Shaitaan,” visited the renowned Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain on Wednesday.
The actress participated in the Bhasma Aarti and worship at the temple, where thousands of devotees gathered. The temple resonated with chants of “Om Namah Parvati Pataye Har Har Mahadev.”
Active primarily in Gujarati cinema, Janki was seen immersed in devotion at the temple. Sitting near the Nandi Mandapam, she expressed her wishes to Nandi Maharaj through songs. After her visit, she remarked, “It’s impossible to put into words the experience of visiting Baba Mahakal, as the feelings reside deep within us. Today’s visit was wonderful, and I thank everyone who helped us have such a great darshan. I wish Baba continues to call us back to His abode.”
Janki began her career with the blockbuster Gujarati film “Chhello Divas,” followed by successful projects like “Naadi Dosh.” Recently, she gained nationwide recognition for her powerful performance in “Shaitaan” alongside Ajay Devgn. She appeared deeply moved, seeking Baba’s blessings as she remains active in cinema and OTT platforms.
Notably, Janki previously starred in the Gujarati film “Vash,” which received acclaim for her acting. The Bollywood remake of this film, titled “Shaitaan,” also featured her in a leading role as a girl afflicted by a spell. The sequel to “Vash,” named “Vash Level-2,” was released in 2025 and made a significant impact on cinema. Directed by Krishnadev Yagnik, the film also starred Hitu Kanodia, Hiten Kumar, and Monal Gajjar in key roles.
