Chandigarh, March 30: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab has accused Congress leader and former opposition leader Pratap Singh Bajwa of making irresponsible and misleading statements.
In a post shared on the party’s official ‘X’ handle, it was claimed that Bajwa attempted to mislead the public by posting a video of an unregistered hospital.
Health Minister Dr. Balveer Singh quickly clarified the situation, exposing the confusion spread by Bajwa. He stated that the ‘Chief Minister Health Card’ is only valid in registered and government-recognized hospitals. It cannot be used in unregistered facilities.
AAP Punjab remarked, “Pratap Bajwa’s actions are irresponsible and misleading! Health Minister Dr. Balveer Singh has debunked the confusion spread by Bajwa.”
Bajwa shared a video on social media from a hospital where the Chief Minister Health Card was not accepted. Since the hospital was unregistered, the card could not be utilized there. Despite holding a constitutional position, Bajwa should apologize to the public for misleading them.
AAP Punjab described this incident as a sign of the opposition’s desperation. The party asserts that the health services under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s government are continuously improving. Millions are receiving free and quality treatment under the ‘Chief Minister Health Card’ scheme, and opposition leaders are trying to question the government’s achievements by spreading confusion.
Dr. Balveer Singh, who is also a doctor, emphasized that the government’s health schemes are transparent and operate within regulations. Not allowing the card to be used in unregistered hospitals is part of the rules. He urged Pratap Bajwa to refrain from making misleading statements and to base his criticism on accurate facts.
AAP Punjab has called on the opposition to present the truth to the public. The party claims that initiatives like Aam Aadmi Clinics, Mohalla Clinics, and the health card are revolutionizing the healthcare sector in Punjab.
