Srinagar, September 4 (Kiran News): At least seven residents of Kashmir are feared dead following a massive landslide in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu district, officials said on Thursday.

According to authorities, all the victims hailed from Tulail in Bandipora and were working as labourers in Himachal. Rescue operations are currently underway at the site.
The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) confirmed that the landslide led to the collapse of two houses, with an estimated 12–13 people feared trapped.
In a post on X, the NDRF stated that its team conducted a Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue (CSSR) operation, during which three injured persons were rescued and one body was recovered. Efforts are continuing to locate the remaining trapped individuals.
Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister’s Office expressed grief over the loss of lives in Kullu and assured that all possible assistance would be extended.
