Yogi Adityanath Stresses Respect for Daughters Amid Controversy Over Aditi Yadavs Remarks

Azamgarh, June 13: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has publicly responded for the first time regarding the offensive comments made on social media about Aditi Yadav, daughter of Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav. He stated that no disrespectful remarks against any daughter can be tolerated. Upon learning of the situation, he promptly instructed the police to file an FIR.

While addressing the inauguration and foundation-laying ceremony of 39 development projects worth ₹955 crore in Azamgarh, the Chief Minister emphasized, “A daughter is a daughter, and she deserves respect. Recently, I noticed that some individuals made inappropriate comments about the daughter of Akhilesh Yadav. As soon as I became aware of this matter, I directed the police to register an FIR. Any derogatory remarks against a daughter will not be tolerated.”

CM Yogi highlighted the significance of respecting daughters in Indian culture. He remarked, “We have been raised in a culture that teaches us that the village’s daughter is everyone’s daughter, and the village’s sister is everyone’s sister. We have never discriminated.”

During his speech, he also criticized Akhilesh Yadav, suggesting that he should educate his workers and supporters on using respectful language. He stated, “While Akhilesh Ji gives advice to others, he should also advise his followers to maintain decorum in their language. One should think before commenting on others.”

Yogi Adityanath accused some members of the Samajwadi Party of using indecent language towards women, daughters, elders, deceased individuals, and senior leaders. He urged Akhilesh to guide them, adding, “If they do not understand, then hand them over to us; we will make them understand.”

He clarified that while political differences exist, there can be no compromise on the issue of respecting women and daughters. He stressed that maintaining decorum and dignity in public life is the responsibility of all political parties and their workers.

During the event, CM Yogi Adityanath also inaugurated and laid the foundation for the 39 development projects in Azamgarh. Several representatives and officials, including state minister Om Prakash Rajbhar, were present at the occasion.
