Yoga Poses to Alleviate Mental Fatigue and Irritability

New Delhi, June 6: Irritability over minor issues and persistent stress have become common challenges in today’s fast-paced world. If you find yourself grappling with these feelings and seek tranquility, yoga may offer an effective solution.

According to the Ministry of AYUSH, there is a yoga pose available for every mental state that can help calm the mind and balance emotions. With International Yoga Day 2026 approaching, the ministry encourages individuals to incorporate yoga into their daily routines. They advise, “Pause for a moment, take a deep breath, and connect with yourself. Choosing the right pose can significantly improve your mood.”

The Ministry emphasizes that yoga not only benefits the body but also promotes mental well-being. Nationwide events are being organized for International Yoga Day 2026. Yoga experts suggest that if you often feel irritated or angry over trivial matters, practicing these poses for just 10-15 minutes daily can be beneficial. Deep breathing combined with yoga can reduce stress, enhance mood, and eliminate negativity throughout the day.

Warrior Pose (Virabhadrasana): This pose enhances both physical and mental strength. It boosts confidence in stressful situations and transforms negative energy into a positive force.

Child’s Pose (Balasana): A deeply calming posture, this pose helps relieve stress when the mind feels restless or irritable. It relaxes the brain and the entire body.

Lotus Pose (Padmasana): Ideal for meditation and concentration, regular practice of this pose reduces mental restlessness, helps control anger, and fosters a sense of peace.

Half Moon Pose (Ardha Chakrasana): This pose strengthens the back and spine while helping to stabilize the mind. It alleviates mental fatigue and promotes relaxation.

In addition to these, many other poses can further enhance mental clarity and emotional balance.
