Yamaha R15 Range Gets ₹5,000 Price Cut for 70th Anniversary

Yamaha Motor India has announced a ₹5,000 price reduction on its popular R15 sports bike range as part of its 70th anniversary celebrations. The new prices are effective from January 5, 2026, bringing the starting ex-showroom price in Delhi to ₹1,50,700.

The Yamaha R15 has been a key player in the entry-level sports bike segment in India for over a decade. Since its launch in 2008, more than one million units have been manufactured in the country, making it one of Yamaha’s highest-volume performance motorcycles in India.

The 2025 Yamaha R15 continues to be powered by a 155 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine featuring Variable Valve Timing (VVT). This engine produces 19 bhp of power and 14.2 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox equipped with an assist and slipper clutch.

All variants of the R15 share this mechanical setup, designed to offer a balance between daily usability and sporty performance. Depending on the model, features include traction control, quickshifter, upside-down front forks, and linked-type monoshock rear suspension.

Following the price revision, the Yamaha R15 S is now priced at ₹1,50,700, the R15 V4 at ₹1,66,200, and the top-end R15 M at ₹1,81,100, all ex-showroom Delhi.

This price cut is a limited-period offer to commemorate Yamaha’s 70 years in India. The company has not disclosed the duration of this price reduction.
