
Beijing, March 12: Recently, Chinese President Xi Jinping responded to a letter from Chinese language teachers and students at an international school located in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of France. In his reply, Xi extended his best wishes to them.
In his letter, Xi emphasized that the Chinese language encompasses 5,000 years of Chinese civilization, with its intricate characters holding profound historical knowledge. Learning Chinese not only aids in understanding both ancient and modern China but also helps lay a foundation for a bright future for both China and France.
The Chinese President welcomed more French and European teenagers to study, travel, and explore China. He encouraged them to experience the real, multifaceted, open, and progressive China firsthand, and to make the Chinese language a lifelong companion.
Xi also noted that according to the Chinese lunar calendar, this year is the Year of the Horse, symbolizing perseverance, courage, and progress. He expressed hope that students would play a leading role in becoming pillars of friendship and cooperation between China and France, as well as between China and Europe.
It is noteworthy that representatives of Chinese language teachers and students from the international school in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur had recently sent a letter to President Xi.
