Beijing, April 8: Chinese President Xi Jinping recently issued significant directives regarding the development of the service industry. He noted that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the scale of the service industry in China has been steadily increasing. There has been a continuous improvement in its quality and efficiency. The service industry plays a crucial role in supporting industrial upgrades, fulfilling people’s livelihoods, and promoting employment.
Xi Jinping stated that on this new journey, it is essential to adhere to the ideology of socialism with Chinese characteristics while implementing a new development philosophy to enhance the growth of the service industry. This approach aims to contribute to a new chapter of high-quality development in the sector.
The National Service Industry Conference took place on April 7 and 8 in the capital, Beijing, where Xi Jinping’s directives were shared.
During the conference, Chinese Premier Li Qiang delivered a speech. He emphasized the need to boost the service industry’s development in line with trends such as changes in population structure, upgrades in consumption patterns, and the restructuring of industrial frameworks. This will facilitate advancements in the digitalization, standardization, integration, and internationalization of the service industry.
