Mumbai: Filmmaker and director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri has praised the blockbuster film ‘Dhurandhar’, starring Ranveer Singh. Returning to India after two months abroad, he watched Aditya Dhar’s film and shared an extensive response on social media.
On Instagram, Vivek Ranjan stated that upon his return to the country, he immediately watched the film and was greatly impressed. He wrote, “I have come back to the country after two months and watched Aditya Dhar’s film. It blew my mind and fills me with pride. Anyone who understands filmmaking can appreciate what it takes to create such a film – vision, writing, confidence, and faith in one’s understanding. Such cinema is not made easily.”
He also complimented the film’s production designer Sunny S Johar, music composer Shaashwat Sachdev, and cinematographer Vicky. Vivek said, “The film’s team is excellent. The production design is closely tied to the story, the music is fresh and soulful, and the cinematography is outstanding.”
Speaking about the performances, he added, “The real victory of ‘Dhurandhar’ is that even the characters with limited screen time delivered top-class performances. Every face seems carefully cast and directed. Every department worked in perfect harmony, which is only possible when it’s truly the writer-director’s film.”
Addressing Aditya Dhar, Vivek expressed, “I have always admired your work, especially your scale and design, but you are working on a different level now. I watched the film with pride. Proud of you, proud of the art, proud of Indian cinema. You are great and truly blessed. May you gain more strength and keep progressing, raising the bar. When the younger generation produces such work, Indian cinema moves forward. Well done.”
‘Dhurandhar’ is a spy action thriller directed by Aditya Dhar, featuring Ranveer Singh in the lead role. The film also stars Akshay Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, among others.
