Hansi, June 13: BJP MLA Vinod Bhayana held a press conference on Friday to mark the completion of 12 years of the central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He emphasized that during these years, the government prioritized development, welfare, and the expansion of basic facilities, leading to significant changes in the lives of the country’s poor, farmers, women, youth, and middle class.
Bhayana stated that the ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ aims to provide clean drinking water to every household, ensuring that no individual is deprived of safe water. This initiative has strengthened basic facilities in rural India and has provided substantial relief to the people.
He mentioned the Prime Minister’s Mudra Yojana, which has increased self-employment opportunities by providing collateral-free loans to small traders and youth. Similarly, initiatives like Startup India have promoted entrepreneurship in the country, offering new opportunities to young people.
Bhayana pointed out that under the Prime Minister’s Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, millions of poor people are receiving free rations, ensuring that no one goes hungry. He described this as one of the most significant schemes for the underprivileged.
He also highlighted the Prime Minister’s Ujjwala Yojana, which provides free gas connections to women from poor families, making their lives easier and relieving them from smoke exposure. Additionally, the Pradhan Mantri Surya Yojana aims to promote solar energy, reduce electricity bills, and encourage clean energy usage.
The MLA noted that the Ayushman Bharat scheme offers free health insurance of up to 5 lakh rupees to the poor, alleviating the financial burden of treating serious illnesses. He referred to it as a life-saving initiative for the underprivileged. He also mentioned the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, which has provided permanent housing to millions of poor families, fulfilling the dream of having a roof over their heads.
Discussing government schemes for farmers, he referenced the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, which provides annual financial assistance to farmers, stabilizing their income. He also emphasized the importance of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, which helps farmers recover from losses due to natural disasters.
Bhayana concluded that the Swachh Bharat Mission has played a historic role in improving cleanliness levels across the country. Efforts to construct toilets and eliminate open defecation have enhanced health and sanitation in both rural and urban areas. All these initiatives aim to deliver development and facilities to the last person in society.
